This is a training for DMHAS and DMHAS contract agency employees only.
The Connecticut Women's Consortium strives to provide the best quality behavioral health education across all platforms. As with any online activity, the quality of our virtual trainings is heavily dependent on participants' individual internet connectivity; if available to you, we strongly suggest hard-wiring to your internet connection for the duration of the training. In addition, we urge you to access your virtual training utilizing a laptop or desktop computer, as mobile devices such as smart phones and iPads may lead to a diminished experience. All virtual courses count toward your in-person continuing education credit. The link to attend this training as well as any relevant handouts will be emailed to registered participants a minimum of 2 business days ahead of the training. In registering for a virtual training, you are acknowledging that you have read and understand the information above. For more information or to request assistance contact the Education & Training department at email@example.com.

Pregnancy Intention Screening, Sexual Health, Optimal Birth Spacing, and Effective Contraceptive Counseling for Community Partners serving people of reproductive ages. Implementers of One Key Question (OKQ) can benefit from in-depth training on optimal birth spacing, effective birth control methods, and ways in which they can counsel women and their partners while ensuring a culturally sensitive and trauma-informed approach. We have partnered with the CT Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS), March of Dimes, and Planned Parenthood of Southern New England (PPSNE) to offer such training. Seats are limited and available on a first come, first-served basis. The Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services encourages its community partners to participate in an effort to improve the delivery of whole-person care and achieve improved health outcomes among people of childbearing ages.
